We have some great printables — Facts for Honey Bees. We also have some great facts on honey bees listed below, but the printable gives children a chance to find their own facts.
I love bees. Sure the buzzing close to my ear freaks me out a little, but I have a deep respect and admiration for what honey bees do and how they fit into this wonderful socially-distanced world.
Today we have two free bee printables! One is a coloring sheet, or can be used as an activity mat with playdough. You could also paint it, fill in the spaces with different mediums like pasta, Cheerios, etc. The second page is more the educational component. It does require a Google search or two. Older children can use the space provided to write what they learned about our friends, the honey bees. Have a great day and “bee” safe. See there? I did it again.

Honey Bee Facts
Did you know that honey bees are responsible for pollinating more than 100 different crops?
Honey bees are a critical element in maintaining healthy ecosystems and pollinating a third of the world’s food supply.
That means they play a key role in the production of food like almonds, apples, and melons.
Honey bees forage for nectar over long distances, increasing the diversity of plants and flowers in the areas that they visit.
Honey bees have an impressive social structure—they live in hives with queens, drones, and workers.
All the workers have their own roles and responsibilities within the hive.
Some bees guard the entrance while others collect nectar from flowers.
Bee colonies can contain up to 60,000 individuals!
As if that weren’t enough, honey bees also produce delicious honey and wax.
Honey bee colonies are constantly threatened by pests, parasites, diseases, and human interference.
