Yogalore now has a bundle of five sets of yoga pose cards, a STEM activity and printables that are great for fine motor practice. All of these pose card sets are either winter in theme and/or follow along with a specific book (The Mitten, Polar Bear, Polar Bear What Do You Hear? and The Snowy Day).
What I like about this bundle of winter yoga cards is its versatility. You can use for a more lengthy winter theme and do the same poses from one deck for a few days, or use a different pose deck each day for a week. It’s nice to have options, depending on how you are teaching this year. These also work well for distance learning. Children have really enjoyed doing yoga with their teacher while learning remotely, and yoga has so many benefits for children!
These are great resources to keep on hand even if you don’t incorporate them into your regular lesson plans. For preschool and kindergarten, they are AMAZING to have on hand for sub lesson plans. The books that are paired with this resource are easy readers which are great for children who are still learning to read.

Other Activities
Arctic Animal/Winter theme is another one of my favorite themes. One activity my students love is the arctic/winter sensory play activity. I have some arctic animals, glass beads, reusable ice cubes and even a book for the children to match the arctic animals on the tray to the animals in the book.
