Yoga for preschool is one of those slam dunk activities — it’s an activity that involves movement and all the benefits of yoga, it’s educational and it’s just plain fun! Yogalore’s Multi-Theme Bundle of Yoga Pose Cards comes with 10 sets of yoga pose cards that are some of the most popular early education themes.
Whether you’re a parent, teacher or therapist, our Multi-Theme Bundle is a must-have resource. Perfect for distance/remote learning, in the classroom or at home, our pose cards encourage children to get up and move while they learn! Our yoga cards are best for toddler, preschool, kindergarten and first grade.
The benefits of yoga are numerous and beneficial for any classroom setting. Teachers can incorporate yoga into their day seamlessly in their lesson plans, for a brain break, or even between transitions. One teacher commented, “My children and their families have loved these cards. They have been the perfect “go to” for movement during a time (COVID) where getting outside has been challenging.” Awesome, right?
Parents can use these pose cards at home — they make a fun family activity that everyone can participate in! Yoga can be a wonderful calm down activity before bedtime as part of the bedtime routine. Michelle recently commented, “These yoga cards are super cute! I purchased them to do with my 2 year old. It was so much fun watching him try out some of these poses. I can’t wait to watch him learn and grow with these.”
Melanie, a therapist says, Yogalore’s yoga pose cards are, “Great for teletherapy sessions and for home carryover…” Our cards work in a variety of settings and can be used repeatedly.
One of the activities my students have enjoyed this year is “Be the Yoga Teacher”. I dislocated my kneecap and messed up a bunch of things in my knee and wore a brace for several weeks. I always use my tablet for class and connect it to a large flat screen TV, then I do the poses beside the TV so they can see the pose cards and also have someone doing the pose along with them. Well, I couldn’t do anything where it required me to bend my knee and yoga was no exception.
We only had one more month of school to go, so my students know what to do during class. I put down a yoga mat in front of the TV and each child had a turn “being the yoga teacher”. They would walk up, scroll the tablet to the next yoga pose card, and then do that yoga pose. It was GREAT!!!! They LOVED IT!!!!!!
