Yes, it’s true — a fact about bugs is that my preschoolers and kindergarteners love to learn about them every single year. As I have mentioned before, Bugs/Insects are one of my favorite Yogalore lesson plans to teach. I think it’s because the children are always so enthusiastic about the topic and for some reason, love being grossed out by weird bug facts.
Recently I created some new products for our insect theme and I just absolutely love them! They’re so cute and look nice for a quick and easy bulletin board display and for both inside and outside the classroom.
I know because of COVID, many teachers will be doing both in-person and distance learning for at least part of the school year. I decided to add a bonus to all my fact posters — horizontal cards with the same information as the fact posters, so they would still be great for using on devices when distance learning. This way, with a horizontal card, no scrolling and you can see the all the information at once.
You can print the posters several different sizes and printing tips and troubleshooting tips come in the .pdf. The posters were originally designed to be 18 x 24″. There is a poster explaining the technical difference between bugs and insects, plus nine insects/bugs: honey bee, moth, butterfly, lightning bug (firefly), beetle, ladybug, mosquito, cicada and dragonfly, plus the bug vs. insect poster.
I am so excited to share these with my kiddos this year. I was thinking about having them professionally printed! Regardless, they will add so much to the classroom and lesson plan. Also, be sure to check out our Bug/Insect Bundle on TpT. This school year — like last year — will be filled with even more challenges than usual. Let us do the “heavy lifting” so you don’t have to.
