A Valentine printable is the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. Seems unlikely right? But when you pair it with a set of watercolors, the options are limitless!

When I stumbled on a BOGO sale of Crayola watercolors a few weeks ago, I scooped up 10 for my daughter’s preschool class. Sure, it was a little more expensive than a box of Valentine’s from the drug store but I felt like $5 spent on something that would give kids something to do was worth the money.

I like to keep these packs of watercolors in a basket in our dining room. When I’m cooking dinner, I hand each kid one (yep, even the one-year-old) and let them paint. Clean-up is easy and honestly, they make really cool abstract art.

Busy kids. Free art. Win/win.

Of course, we used these for Valentines but you could use the valentine printable as favors for an art party or even just a sweet gift for a friend. I like just-because gifts, don’t you? Of course you do. We already decided that you’re awesome.

I’ve made these tags that you can download, just print. Pop them in the front of the case, secure them with a little tape and you’ve got yourself a gift that makes the world a little more colorful.
