These dinosaur fun facts printables might be my favorite resource (ETA: I wrote that *before* I finished my Solar System Fact Posters!). Teaching the dinosaur themed unit is the BEST! The children are all so enthralled with the concept of these giant creatures roaming the earth millions of years ago. Just look around on the website or my TpT store and it’s pretty easy to see it’s one of my favorite themes — from the dinosaur sensory box post and frozen dinosaur eggs to the playdough dinosaur post, my love of dinosaurs is apparent.

I wanted to design something that was fun and eye catching, but also had dinosaur fun facts for kids about the different kinds of dinosaurs. So I designed these TEN dinosaur posters for our unit on dinosaurs. I had them printed up poster size (12″ x 16″) and they add so much color to the classroom.

I also like their versatility — I can print them numerous sizes, for even smaller, more card-size (but not too small because the font gets too small!)

When I originally designed these posters, I wanted to try to give the children a visual on just how large some dinosaurs actually were, so I used objects like cars and elephants to show how many of those objects had to be stacked or lined up to equal the size of some of the dinosaurs. I feel like that makes it more concrete for them. They may not be able to envision how tall a T-rex was, but they do know how big a car is!

In July of 2020, because of COVID, I also designed 7 horizontal slides (smaller) of these same dinosaur printable fact posters which are also included in this resource. I knew that many teachers would be teaching remotely and I knew the horizontal slides would work better on a screen than the vertical poster. With the horizontal slides, all the information can be seen at once with no scrolling.
